Harper's Perversity

Pierre Trudeau once said that, "The state has no business in the bedrooms of the nation." Likewise, it could also be said that if federal politicians want to engage in all sorts of perversities in private, maybe it should be no business of the nation. But Prime Minister Stephen Harper gave out a little too much personal information about himself to the National Post last week. There are some things about the PM that I just don't want to know. Answering a series of questions, Harper responded that he is, infact, a Leafs fan. As if claiming that he goes both ways would make up for it, he also said that he likes the Calgary Flames. But the damage is done: I don't think that Canadians will be able to look at Mr. Harper in the same way again.
